Awareness of Enemy Resources: Pt. 2 – One important quality in the pursuit of outplay is to keep in mind what cooldowns the enemy has & what they’re capable of at all times – if you can keep what they can do in mind, you have much less to fear about approaching or engaging on an enemy. In the following clip, knowing Lee Sin’s goal to kick me into his teammate allowed me to position then eventually bait him into a death.

Awareness of Enemy Resources: Pt. 3 – Skill-reliant abilities are much more exploitable than circle-shot, point & click abilities (like Lee Sin’s Kick) as there is a greater room for error. Understanding the nature of an ability helps foster confidence in determining the ways one can exploit the weaknesses of these abilities (which is why it’s so important to try different champions). In this clip, understanding how Ornn’s Ram Ult functions allowed me to exploit a moment of weakness he has after casting (RIP @GGC | Dragfur2017 ‘s ult at the beginning of the clip. Thoughts & Prayers).

Academy League Tips by Rhazca

I noticed a lot of players this weekend had trouble blowing all their cooldowns simultaneously, so I made this video to help (with a little help from @GGC | StickItandRun | Fill | S3 :heart: ) One of the most important things for players attempting to climb is to learn how to properly layer your crowd control. There’s no point in stunning an already stunned target – apply your cc at the very end of your teammates’ abilities to ensure the maximum amount of control duration possible. For example, here’s a clip from a normal last night:

Another important factor I noticed over the course of the tournament is a kind of panic that sets in with many of our players when approached with enemy ganks. Stay cool – stay collected! Paying attention to what the enemy has available (i.e. resources like Mana) can really help turn the tide in a situation which appears dismal at first. In the following clip, I was being ganked by the enemy jungler, but staying cool & noticing Cho’Gath’s mana pool helped me come out on top. (Shouts out to @GGC | Bark3r | MID | S3 for the nice Aatrox kill in the beginning :heart: )

Tanking Pt. 3 – Communication & Effective Distraction It’s common knowledge when the enemy sees a weakness in your composition (objectives like weak turret health, dead allies, etc.) they will come together & push before you have the opportunity to recoup your losses. This is when it becomes important for your tanks to make things difficult by applying pressure to the enemy without getting killed (not getting killed being the most important part of this statement). With proper communication, you can even convert these obvious distractions into powerful skirmish victories for your team to further your gold & objective leads. Big shout out to my team @GGC | Khang Lee | JGL | G3 @GGC | JegValkyrie | ADC | B2 and @GGC | Diamonfrost19 | B4 for following up on my lead to make a powerful push after coming to my aid :heart:

Talon by Bark3r

SUMMARY
Hi guys, as the most unprofessional Talon player I thought I’d share my thoughts on his builds, runes, and an overview of his job. Talon is an assassin, with quick ways to get in and out of a fight while focusing on one shotting his opponents. His early game is very strong as you can easily get a first blood at level 2 or 3 using his passive and spells, along with winning trades. Talon’s early buys for items depends on who he is laning against. If your opponent is a melee champion such as Zed, or Yasuo, you will rush tiamat or serrated dirk, then get the one you didn’t get first afterwards. Tiamat enhances Talon’s already good clear, and dirk add lethality which works with his passive. When fighting an AP champ, a Hexdrinker is good to rush to have better trades. This wasn’t put in the item set, but if there is a mage that you really can’t melee minions, buying corrupting potion at start to farm with W (Rake) will allow you to use it more. Boots are situational, depending on the enemy team you will change boots. If there is a mix, I normally go Boots of Lucidity for the CDR. Ghostblade and Duskblade are must haves for Talon, but it really doesn’t matter which one you get first. Guardian Angel is the next item that should be bought, and then from there it’s situational. If your playing vs. a Tank, most likely going Black Cleaver or Mortal Reminder is best, but Edge of Night and Lord Dominik’s Regards also work. When there is strong AP champ, it’s not bad to fully build the Hexdrinker into a Maw of Malmortius for the Magic Resist. Stormrazor is something I sometimes run on Talon, but it’s not the first situational item you should be buying.
The next thing to cover is runes. Runes are pretty similar from assassin to assassin. Domination Tree primary, running Electrocute, Sudden Impact, Eyeball Collection, and Relentless Hunter for the Movement Speed (Talons a slow dude early lol). The secondary runes are normally going to be Sorcery Tree, but sometimes the Precision Tree with Triumph and Coup de Grace can work. For the Sorcery Tree, running Celerity is good, but after that, Scorch, Water Walking, or Gathering Storm all work. Scorch is good in general because of the little extra damage, and Waterwalking can be nice for fights in rivers, and Gather Storm is good for extra AD gain. Talon overall is not a very complicated champion to use, whose main job to is to kill the carries and squishy targets, and escape out. Here’s a few fun facts about Talon: The more Movement Speed Talon has, the faster he jumps over walls. Talon’s Q can be either a jump that can lead to an immediate auto attack, or be a melee critical hit that leads into a auto attack, so you can change up how you use it. That’s all I have for this overview of Talon. Please press F to pay respects for Talon’s W which will be receiving a nerf ;-;

“Kept alive only by his quick wits and deft thievery, Talon scraped out a living in the seedy underbelly of Noxus. His mastery of the blade quickly marked him as a threat, and Noxian guilds sent assassins to him with a demand: join their ranks or be killed. Talon remained in the shadows, carrying out secret missions on Du Couteau’s orders that took him from the frigid lands of the Freljord to the inner sanctums of Demacia itself.”

Leona by War B

SUMMARY
Leona is a very aggressive support that is very easy to engage with which is normally what leona’s do so aftershock is good if you are more aggressive use aftershock if you are playing a passive leona take guardian with the exact other set of runes and if you have an adc that is more passive take guardian but if they are more aggressive take aftershock if you have an adc that can’t apply the zeke’s passive take redemption instead due to having no healing as leona it really helps when using a redemption to heal you’re adc and you’re team allowing them to do more damage and go in with you being dead.When you go in as leona half the time you’re not getting out unless you’re team peels for you but as a support that’s a rare occasion (at least for me) so building armor and health is best for her.I rush knight’s vow on leona due to you’re adc having little health at the begging and you having more health then them and with the passive of knight’s vow you help you’re adc by absorbing massive amounts of damage for them early game.For the second item I upgrade my boots for the speed.For the Third item I would go zeke’s or redemption (depending on the adc) it helps heal/due massive amounts of health/damage it really helps the adc early in my opinion.After Zeke’s/Redemption I take gargoyles stoneplate due to leona going in to engage in 2v5’s – 5v5’s having that extra health and armor.After gargoyles stoneplate it really depends on you’re play style what you would prefer to go.

Her armor and weapons burned to ash in the cosmic fire and were in turn reborn as ornate warplate, a shield of sunlight wrought in gold and a sword of chained dawnlight.”

Vayne as a Jungler by Zumaibo

Summary
Vayne is an exceptional skirmisher and stronger than most other jungles that she will face despite what is thought of her she is actually very strong early in 1 v 1 situations. While Vayne jungles play style may not be about constant ganks to put your team ahead the lvl 2 cheese top is VERY important in the playstyle you are looking for. After getting red immediately gank and get the kill try to make sure you get it over your top laner because you want the early gold for your skirmishers saber. after getting skirmishers just farm up and skirmish with the enemy jungler because of Vaynes unreasonably strong 1v1 potential and jungle walls make for easy stuns. Skirmishes and small fights are all you should be aiming for as Vayne pre rageblade (3rd item after bork and bloodrazor) but after reaching the rageblade point there shouldn’t be anyone on the enemy team that can 1 v 1 you and at that point you can aim to team fight but you must remember how squishy you are and how low range you are so use your team. After you get frozen mallet 1 v 3s shouldn’t be Very hard and you will be running 2500ish Hp at this point Team fighting is a breeze and your last item is up to you but i would recommend a lifesteal item or a defense item like Maw or GA i personally like a lifesteal. late game is all about solo carrying and team fighting with this guide you should be able to pull out one of the strongest late games you have ever seen in your life. :smiley:
